The Manitoba Association for Art Education is a non-profit organization of teachers and artists dedicated to promoting, advancing and improving visual art education in the province of Manitoba. We maintain a liaison with the Manitoba Teachers' Association (MTS), The Canadian Society for Education through Art (CSEA), and other visual arts and art education organizations for the purposes of exchanging ideas and monitoring trends and developments in art education. We also sponsor Arts Junktion, a community-based, charitable organization committed to redistributing reusable materials.
Our largest educational workshop series for art educators is the Special Area Group of Educators conference (SAGE), which is offered every fall at the Winnipeg Art Gallery. This series of speakers and workshops is open to elementary, middle school and high school teachers across Manitoba.
The MAAE executive holds monthly meetings. We welcome your comments and suggestions. If you are interested in volunteering at our events, or in joining the MAAE as a member, please contact us!
